"Table ready for Ruxton family of 10"

Happy "I'm not 50!!!"th Birthday Aunt Debbie! (:

Tonight the Ruxton clan all piled into 2 cars and drove to Detroit to Mexican Town for dinner. Seriously, if you're ever in Detroit, go to Mexican Town! It's sooo good. It's in a sketchy area but the flaming cheese is amazing!

On our way over the bridge, the guy goes to my dad "So, what are your relations to everyone?"
"My son, my daughter, my wife, my nephew & his friend"
So Brandon goes "The dude totally thought I was the friend. He winked at me and everything."

On my dad's side of the family we're really sort of multicultural. You got Brandon who is half Filipino, Brittany who is half black, Nicole who is half chinese and Tina who just looks half black (haha, I love you Tina!)
They're all waiting for me to turn 19. I'm the baby of the family and the only one not of legal drinking age.

Just as we get into Detroit, there's this homeless guy at the first stop sign. He goes "Yo, can you spare some money?" and my dad kept driving so the guy yells "MAN I'M HUNGRY"
and I'd have to agree with Brandon, this homeless guy is taking the wrong approach.
You get some homeless guys who are like "Can I have some money?" and you go "No, sorry" and they make you feel all guilty with the "Oh God bless you. I hope you never end up like me." so you feel bad and you're like "Fine here's a dollar"
This guy was just rude. "MAN, I'M HUNGRY!" "Man, so are we, that's why we're going to Mexican Town"

My dad is the type of guy who can just talk forever. Especially if it's about his work or the Jonas Brothers. Lucky for us, my aunt caught him on the topic of the Jonas Brothers when she asked me if there was any Jonas in the jukebox (there wasn't, btw. So I chose Backstreet Boys & Beach Boys).
So basically, when my dad tells a story, he will go into SO MUCH DETAIL.
He's telling my cousin Brandon about the time we went to New York, right? So he goes "Oh yeah, Jessica had a reserved vip seat with her name on it. Her friend from Pittsburgh stayed the night with us. Our hotel was right across the street from Madison Square Garden"
He tells Brandon "we stayed in a huge hotel. Just two streets down from Times Square! Beautiful view of the city. We stayed on.." then he turns to me and goes "what floor did we stay on?"
My mom looks at me and I'm like "..why does it matter..?"

Right after we left, the announced "Family of 14 can now be seated"
hahahaha, sorry family of 14 who wanted our table
Blame my dad (:

I have to make a family genogram for family studies class. It's like a family tree but more into detail. I know it's suppose to be like interesting and whatever but it's sort of.. personal. I don't know. My family is just really.. complicated. And we have to include EVERYTHING. Like, birthdate, deathdate, marriage, seperations, divorces, miscarriages, abortions, everything. It's like really personal. I'll probably leave out a few things.

But all in all, I love my family (: And I miss my Grandma. So, so much.

Love you, always and forever <3>
