look outside at the raincoats coming (or, winter coats..)

I went shopping yesterday with my mom at the mall. Our deal was that I go to her store (Sears) pick up a jacket and then we could go to the stores I wanted so I could find an outfit for the Christmas party.

We went to the section her jacket was being held at and the lady goes "WENDY! HI!", my mom turns to me and whispers "I swear I've never met this lady in my life".
She asks my mom who I am and my mom says "This is my daughter, Jessica" and the lady goes on to say how I look so much like my mom and how I'm tall and beautiful (I'm flattered and say 'thank you'). Then this lady goes into how she has three sons and a daughter and what she named her, why she named her that, where her daughter is living now. All the while my mom and I are like "ok, gotta go.."

For some reason, this always happens to my mom. Someone either says 'Do I know you from somewhere?' or just starts telling her their life story. I guess my mom seems like an approachable person?

Long story short, I ended up buying my dress at Sears, which always happens. When I went to get a graduation dress, a semi-formal dress, and now a Christmas party dress.
But let me tell you, this dress is adorable! I bought black patten leather high-heeled shoes too. The shoes really hurt my feet and I'm afraid of walking in them, but I love them! They're so cute.
I tried searching the Sears website for a picture of my dress but it wasn't on there.
I look much older in the dress, I think. I definitely think I could get into the Casino's all-you-can-eat buffet wearing this dress! It's a little shorter than I usually go for, but I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm pretty self-conscious so I'll probably be pulling down the bottom every 2 minutes anyways.

The whole dress is black and the top part is sequined then there is a silk bow just below the boobs. The bottom fulffs out a bit and then the bottom clings. I'm terrible at describing (clearly) but I swear it's an awesome dress :)

OH! Did I mention this dress has secret POCKETS?! Heck yes it does! The bottom part is flowy-ish so you don't even notice the pockets, it's excellent. Perfect place for putting.. well, I guess just the perfect place to keep my hands since I don't want to put money or a cellphone that could easily fall out and get lost.

I've really gotten into finding new music lately. If you haven't listened to Vampire Weekend yet, do it. Their songs are really cool and the lyrics really make you sit and think of what they're about. My favourite song by them lately is A-Punk.

Oh, it snowed today. *Cries*
