2008 into perspective

I just went back and read all my blogs from this year and I've got to say, what an exciting year - not.
But, although it wasn't very exciting, I really think I learned a lot about myself this year. Who I am as a person, who I want to be, what sorts of things I really live for, and what I'm looking for in life. So 2008 wasn't that bad of a year, it was just a starter for the amazing years I have ahead of me.

Some of my most noteable points of 2008 (don't judge me and mom, if you're reading, please don't ground me):
-being somewhere other than here for new years (Pennsylvania, yayuhhh)
-traveling by myself
-grade 11 math class .. probably one of my favourite classes in all of high school
-Jonas Brothers WMITE tour - being upfront at the stage taking pictures
-playing football in grade 11 gym, only because i learned i was really good at it
-Realy For Life shirts, our best yet.
-Passing grade 11, and every class.
-Keeping up with these blogs (for the most part), I know I'll thank myself in the long run
-Camp, a true highlight every year
-Learning that some friends aren't as awesome as they'd seemed
-Videos I made for school projects and the compliments I got on them
-Interviewing Kevin, Joe & Nick on their Burning Up Tour
-NOT going to New York this summer .. thinking back, I'm actually very glad I didn't go
-Summer sleepovers at Connie's
-Going to my first bush party
-My first time getting drunk this summer
-Going to my first real school friends party
-Making a ton of new friends at school and actually talking in class
-Hanging out with friends that are considered outside my circle of close friends
-Texting because even though I hate it a lot, I'm glad I started (oxymoron or what?)
-My new orange ipod, I don't know how I ever lived without one
-My list of new personal records (which I plan to start keeping track of)
-Knowing exactly what I want to do after high school and organize my road trip dream
-Continuing to work at McD's even though it pains me (litterally, sometimes)
-Hardly ever fighting with my brother at all
-Reading more books than I thought I actually would
-Improving my vocabulary and writing skills

Alright, I'm sure that's enough. I tried to go in order cronologically, but it's always my nature to venture off track. Bring on 2009 and the first year to not having any new year resolutions, only to live each day to satisfy myself and not waste the time I was given on earth. Forget "lose weight" "do better in school" and "quit this habit", I just want to live a life worth living (:

Happy New Year everyone

LOL I LOVE ABBA
