Do You Believe in Life After Love
If you didn't catch on right away, no this post isn't about my non-existent love life (I'm only 18 anyways, who carezzzz)
It is about CHER!
hahaha, I know what you're all thinking (unless you're matiou479 from youtube.. then you're probably an eager beaver)
So I'm watching a video on youtube from one of my favourite youtubers, Natalie from communitychannel.
my favourite video from her is this one:
You can now clearly see why she's one of the best.
Anyways, from that video I followed the link to the Cher-loving, Nat-bashing weirdo's page.
I get to the youtube page and his background has one of the stupidest quotes I've ever read.
"If grass can grow through cement, love can find you at every time in your life."
wtf?
Ok, a few things wrong with quote. Let's start with the obvious - GRASS CAN NOT GROW THROUGH CEMENT. Honestly, can you ever seen grass grow through cement? Yeah, neither has anyone else because it's cement. Grass can grow from the cracks between cement, but whenever someone creates this amazingly strong super grass that can grow through cement, just call me up or something.
And another thing, 'at every time in your life'? What the heck does that even mean? Nice sentence forming, Cher. Maybe next time you could try 'at any time in your life'.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if Cher said this quote back in the 1970s and no one really thought anything of it. Except that this quote is actually all over the internet still today and people are thinking Cher is some intellectual.
I'm not saying she isn't because I don't really know too much about Cher except that she was in a few bad movies, had some bad hairstyles and says quotes that don't make sense but people repeat it anyways.
Gosh, I sound like a cynical english snob with too much angst. I'm not always like this, I promise. Only when it comes to english.
(Which reminds me, I was walking through the U of W today and this girl goes, "I'm so undecisive". I was so tempted to stop and correct her.)
