South Harmon Institute of Technology

I was accepted into college today!

On September 8th, 2009, I will officially be a college student studying Journalism (: It is a two-year course and gives you the opportunity to further your studies in Queensland, Australia, for a masters in Journalism (which I will definitely be doing!).

I'm going to be completely honest, I'm extremely nervous. What I'm taking is not at the main campus, but rather at the Centre for the Arts campus - I hope I'm artsy and creative enough for it! I also heard that a certain type of camera is mandatory, which is fine by me, just another excuse to buy an awesomely amazing camera! The camera I have now only takes nice shots outside, it it seems to take pictures with a lot of noise. Blah. Canon Rebel XSi, I'm still rooting for ya!

Today at school, Jana told me I looked very lethargic. I had no idea what that word meant s we went to the library to look it up and also looked up a few others words.
So TODAY i'm going to post FIVE words of the day! AH! SO EXCITED!

Lethargic, adj. - drowsy, sluggish, lazy

Ludic, adj. - relating to play; playful

Osculation, noun - The act of kissing

Bivouac (BIV-WAK/BIV-UH-WAK), noun - An encampment for the night, usually under little or no shelter

Tmesis (TUH-MEE-SIS), noun - In grammar and rhetoric, the separation of the parts of a compound word, now generally done for humorous effect (blah, blah, blah, just read the example, huh)
Abso-friggin-lutely! - is a tmesis!
