Vow of Silence

I tried taking a vow of silence before when I was 13. I had no reason, just to see if I could do it. Unfortunately, I couldn't even last more than 4 hours.

but THIS TIME! I have more will power and maturity and self control (at least I think I do). And it's for a good cause!

It's actually something on my Bucket List as well! So it'll be cool to accomplish it for that purpose as well. Hopefully on March 6th I'll be able to say I took a 24-hour vow of silence and didn't cheat (:

This cause is simply called IAMSILENT. This includes no talking, texting, or e-mailling. So basically, no form on communication whatsoever. (I better tell my friends ahead of time so they don't think I'm snubbing them).

Over one billion children live in poverty. Hunger is only one of their challenges; exploitation, abuse and discrimination haunt them on a daily basis. Many live in remote areas of the world and have little, or no, education.

They have no rights. They have no voice.

On March 5, 2009 (starting at 3pm EST) people around the world will remain silent for 24 hours in support of those who are unable to speak up themselves.
