I think our hands just made a baby
I was having a crummy day at school today so DUN DA DA DA! Rachel to the rescue! :)
We were texting at lunch and she mentioned how she had the day off today (and her last exam is tomorrow! AH! goood luck!) and I was like "hm, I think I should have the day off today". My afternoon in school is sort of boring, english - spare - media arts.
I went to english, which was a waste, and then texted Rachel on my spare and asked if she could pick me up. Annoying attendance lady always gives me a hard time, so of course today was no different as I was signing myself out for the afternoon. Maybe she saw me around school wearing my leather jacket because to her I have delinquent written on my forehead.
After being annoyed, slightly amused, and frustrated while trying to get a video camera from my media arts teacher (and my old art teacher. together they are so obnoxious and they know it), I met Rachel at the front of my school. I felt so bad, she was probably sitting in the car for like 15 minutes. But it took 20 minutes to sign out a video camera (rawrrr) and really, Rachel is so patient. I am the most non-punctual (unpunctual?) person ever and she is always so patient with me. Thanks, Rach :)
So we went to the bank, got gas, got Starbucks, drove back to my school because I forgot my wallet in my locker (I'm sorry! Typical me move) and then made our way to the mall.
I wanted to do some filming for my music video at the mall and I kept thinking it was Friday so I expected a ton of 12 year old emo-punks to be at the mall but it was fairly mellow aka not good for filming. I did get this AWESOME video of us driving home tonight. The people in the car next to me thought I was such a creeper for holding the video camera on the dash board, but it was worth it. It was like 8:00-ish so the sun was just setting and cars needed their lights on and the street lights were on but it wasn't so dark that you couldn't see any scenery because you totally could see everything perfectly (run-on sentence). I'll be sure to post my music video on youtube when it's finished. I'm so excited to film it.
Overall, today was very successful! Thanks to my knight in shining armour a new yellow sundress with a cute new pale yellow purse and awesome new pink sandals. Aka Rachel. :)
We walked around the mall for like 4 hours - it was excellent. We went into every store looking for a yellow sundress for Rachel. We went into every store looking for a pair of white canvas shoes for me. We were both successful in that category of interest as well as finding awesome deals on a tank top (me - $7, H&M), a purse (Rachel - $14, Ardene), sandals (Rachel and me - $1.99, Ardene) and a scarf ($1.99 - me, Ardene).
We also saw 17 Again and oh my goodness, I fell in love with Zac Efron all over again, haha. Not only was he good-looking (TO THE EXTREME), he is a really good actor! This role really proved that he is more than Disney and he can act when given good material to work with ... sorry High School musical writers :(
This day went from *thumb down* to *THUMBS UP*
Thanks again, Rachel :) u iz awsumSix stores and $25 later - finally, the shoes I've been looking for forever! Or, since I saw them on my little 6 year old feet in a picture and decided I needed a new pair to fit my 18 year old feet.
Ps - remember back a couple months how I made note to myself to find new friends? Yeah, well, they were one step ahead of me, apparently. Summer and college can not come any sooner. Get me out of that hell some might call 'high school'. Best years of our life? Fat chance.
